My work is guided by an understanding that wellbeing is about more than addressing physical symptoms. Our experiences, emotions, patterns of stress and relationship with ourselves can all influence how we feel in our bodies and move through life.
Over the years, my clinical practice has deepened my appreciation of the complex relationship between the body, mind and nervous system. I also draw on Traditional Chinese Medicine philosophy, particularly through Qigong, which offers a different perspective on balance, energy and our connection with the natural world.
Bringing these perspectives together has shaped an approach that looks beyond the presenting concern to consider the person as a whole. I’m deeply committed to helping people develop a deeper
awareness of themselves, understand their own patterns and reconnect with the inner resources that support their wellbeing.

I grew up immersed in nature-based medicine, with holistic approaches to health and wellbeing woven into family life. From an early age, I felt a strong sense that one day I would find my way into this field, although I could not have known then how my own life experiences would shape that path.
My early adult years were filled with adventure. I was an outdoor education instructor, passionate about extreme sports, rock climbing and mountaineering. But following an injury I sustained in Nepal, my own search for healing began. I explored a range of orthodox and complementary therapies, often with limited relief, until I discovered Bowen Therapy at the age of 25.
The experience introduced me to a different way of understanding the body and its capacity to respond to gentle, hands-on treatment. Inspired by what I experienced, I began studying Bowen Therapy, initially with my family in mind. As a mother raising three young boys, learning these skills gave me practical tools to support my family's wellbeing and a greater sense of confidence and self-reliance as a parent.
Through my clinical work, I began to notice recurring patterns between the physical concerns people presented with and what was happening in their lives, including the effects of past experiences and prolonged stress.
My exploration of Traditional Chinese Medicine deepened this understanding. Its holistic framework considers the interconnected nature of physical health, emotions, energy and the influences of our environment. I found that this perspective often resonated with the patterns I was observing in my own practice.
Over time, these insights became foundational to my approach to mindbody health. I continue to draw on this traditional body of knowledge alongside my clinical experience and ongoing learning, using these perspectives to inform a more integrated understanding of each person and their individual experiences.
