The Heart Behind Seed of Wellbeing
Helen Dobra is a holistic health practitioner, educator, and passionate advocate for natural healing. Based in the Clarence Valley NSW, she has run a successful complementary health practice for over 16 years, offering a trauma-informed, integrative approach to chronic pain, complex health issues, and mental health challenges.
Rooted in a deep connection to nature and guided by love for her children, family, and community, Helen’s passion for holistic wellbeing has been lifelong. Her early fascination with Chinese Medicine Theory continues to inform her practice, blending eastern wisdom with modern somatic approaches. At the core of her work is the belief that wellbeing is our natural state — and that each person holds the power to heal from within.
Helen is also the producer of the internationally award-winning documentary These Two Hands, created in collaboration with Starmax Films. This powerful film shares the legacy of Tom Bowen and the healing art he pioneered. Now in the process of international distribution, the film is set to reach mainstream audiences worldwide.
In 2021, Helen co-founded the Natural Therapy Institute (NTI), an online education platform offering specialist training to wellness professionals and health enthusiasts around the world. She has since hosted three of the largest online Bowen wellness gatherings to date: Bowen & Beyond 2022, the Bowen Wellness Summit 2023, and the Bowen Global Summit – Ignite Your Abundance 2025. Helen is also the founder of the Bowen Global Network, a vibrant international initiative supporting Bowen therapists in their practice, connection, and professional development.
Helen facilitates both one-on-one and group sessions in her community and internationally, available online and in person. Every program is trauma-informed, evidence-based, and designed to support deep transformation from the inside out.
